It breaks our hearts to see Nelly at our shelter for 344 days…and still counting. Christmas came and went, and her wish for a forever home never came true.
This beautiful brindle girl is 9 years young — she’s basically at the perfect age where she’s a mature adult who enjoys LOTS of naps but still has energy for some playtime. Her basic needs are: 1) throw blankets to be tucked into, 2) soft doggie bed or couch to snooze on, 3) people to love on her. Bonus points if her forever home has squishmallows for her to cuddle with (she loves cuddling with soft things!).
She needs to be the only pet in the household (so she can be spoiled) so if you’re currently pet-free and looking to adopt, PLEASE consider this wonderful girl. Nelly is a volunteer favorite for her gentle and easygoing nature around all people (men, women, and kids!) 🥹
Shelter life isn’t good for ANY dog, and certainly not for a dog entering her golden years 😢 Once living on the streets with a homeless man in West Sacramento to living in a shelter…multiple inquiries but all no-shows…she deserves so much better. The pawfect match for Nelly is out there — help us find her forever person!
Feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to meet her.
